NAO’s Flame Arrestors are custom engineered for each deflagration application.

Detonation Arrestor units provide detonation-proof protection for vessels, stacks and storage tanks.

Our Arrestors can be installed both vertically and horizontally and in a wide range of sizes. They can be installed with or without water spray for cleaning or cooling; and can be fabricated in several different alloys.

These comprehensive flame arrestors help to protect pressure vessels, loading terminals and process flares from the serious danger of explosive gas/air mixtures entering stacks, vessels and storage tanks.

They are critical in industries that handle flammable gases and vapors including oil and gas, chemical processing, pharmaceuticals and power generation. They work by absorbing heat from the flame front and cools it down below the ignition temperature of the flammable mixture. Flame arrestors can also be included on storage tanks, pipelines, flare stacks and process equipment.
